We pinned a number of rattles and other infant toys to the blanket with diaper pins. We then showed the little ensembles that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower party decorations for the presents table by putting a big teddy bear into the cradle. It is so much fun to decorating for a baby shower! For the food service table we had an array of fresh flowers from the community florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the collection. We determined that no other baby shower party festive decorations needed to be put on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, together with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a little doll in a pink frosting blanket. We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and 1 for every of the new grandmas to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we would not have to spend plenty of time cleaning up baby shower decorations due to the fact that they would all be sent home as presents to our niece. We had a big turn out for the baby shower party. My niece got quite a few very nice presents. She was glad that we had the baby shower in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 minutes after the baby shower party was over the fellowship section was cleaned up and we were going home.
